The moon will shine a bit brighter tonight.
Today, March 9th, will have March's full moon and it traditionally goes by the name of Worm Moon. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, it "refers to the fact that earthworms and grubs tend to emerge from their winter dormancy at this time of year, marking a sure sign of spring!"
It also happens to be the first of three supermoons happening in 2020, which is why it's being called "The Super Worm Moon." The next two happen on April 7th and May 7th.
Although tonight's moon appears about 7% larger and brighter than the average full moon, you might not be able to really notice the difference. The slight changes are hard for us to perceive.
