Mystery Buyer Purchases California Ghost Town For $22.5 Million !?!

The town of Eagle Mountain, California has been considered a "ghost town" for almost 40 years, but it clearly still holds the interests of outsiders.

The town was recently purchased for the price of $22.6 million, though the identity of the buyer is unknown.

Eagle Mountain is around three hours east of Los Angeles in Riverside County.

It first received the "ghost town" status in 1983, when a mining operation and residents abandoned the town.

While it has been mostly barren, Eagle Mountain has been a filming location for many projects, including Rob Reiner's "Stand By Me" and Christopher Nolan's "Tenet."
